Research Internships/Projects in Music Processing (Summer Term 2025)
We offer structured research internships and research projects in music processing for highly motivated students, see the website on general requirements. A research internship/project typically consists of two phases:
- Foundations: Learn PyTorch by completing a comprehensive set of guided exercises and tasks.
- Project Work: Implement and evaluate PyTorch-based code for a music-related task. Project topics will be discussed and specified in person.
The number of participants is limited, and admission is granted upon consultation with Johannes Zeitler before March 31, 2025.

Organization
- Introductory meeting: April 25, 2025, 14:00 to 16:00 (mandatory)
- Place: Room 3R4.04, AudioLabs, Am Wolfsmantel 33, 91058 Erlangen
- Weekly Meetings: Fridays, 14:00 to 16:00 (mandatory)
- Final Presentation & Report: Required towards the end of the semester
Prerequisites
Requirements
- Active participation in weekly meetings
- Completion of PyTorch exercises (Phase 1)
- Completion of music project (Phase 2)
- Submission of a written report and final presentation
